Juliana Beach Resort is located in Real, Quezon. This part of the country is not known for beach resorts but it has become popular because of the calamities which struck this place.
We were invited by a doting friend who was leasing a beach resort from his "kumpare." It was the start of Holy Week when we left for the resort so the traffic was rather sluggish. It took us more than one hour crossing the mountains of Antipolo and Teresa, both in Rizal province. The view going to Real was fantastic. The panorama changed from brown while in Rizal and Laguna to everlasting green in Quezon. The thriving tree giant and tree ferns entertained my eyes. I could believe how many are there on the mountain slopes just beside the road. immediately, I thought of looking for local stores along the road that sells ferns and other endemic plants and decided to get some on the way back. I think, we crossed 4 or 5 mountains until we get to see the Pacific Ocean which kisses the province.
The resort doesn't have white sand like those famous ones in the South. It offers simple to basic amenities like shower. Do not expect banana boat ride or anything. The sea was rather wavy and i suppose it stays like this the whole year round. And because the sand is not white, the water looks rather turbid. So, if you're wearing white underwear or anything white, it will turn brown.
We enjoyed our stay in Juliana Beach Resort. Our dogs enjoyed the beach and the trip as well.
We hope to return next time, but most probably driving our own car.
